Production heads used in The Mad Magician, 1954 starring Vincent Price... these were used as his disguises in the film.

A brain replica cast from the same mold - The Fiend Without A Face, 1958

A helmet used by British school kids - lot's of them - as they portrayed moon creatures called Selentites in 1964's First Men In The Moon. Joey's dear friend Terry was one of them - he recognized it instantly! Ray Harryhausen did the visual effects for that film!

Obviously this guy is trying to remember where he left his car keys. But no, seriously - this is one of the "infected" mutants seen at the finale of I Am Legend... the one with Will Smith. Joey got him right off the street at Washington Square Park as they were filming.

Night Of The Living Dirt

The Halloween season is upon us, folks - and with that comes random pics of all things related to SPOOKY FUN!!

 

Night Of The Living Dead is alive and well at The Haunted Barn... this year's HorrorThon at The Paramount Theater in Middletown, NY. Joey's relaxing his strict "No Touch" policy at his display for one of his featured items this year - Graveyard soil from the Evans City Cemetery, where the opening shocking moments of the film were shot in 1968!

 

Other artifacts will be featured as well, like original glass from the cemetery chapel and bricks and tin roof from the same!

...with one exception...

Odds and Ends

Our OOB brother and curator of The Haunted Barn and Museum, Joey Vento, sent this pic to me... if you KNOW you KNOW...

 

My first reaction was WTF? Followed by my question "You gonna explain how you came across a Budd Dwyer emery board? ...you depraved ghoulish freak!!" His answer raised more questions than it resolved my curiosities "It's at the junk store for a quarter!"

I can only imagine this featured in one of his displays... right alongside the John Wayne Gacy party coasters and the Faces Of Death VHS tapes.

The Halloween season is upon us, folks - and with that comes random pics of all things related to SPOOKY FUN!!

Just a couple of friends of mine who don't just hang out at Halloween - they're more or less out all year 'round! When activated, Franky's eyes light up, he moans and moves his arms... Wolfy's eyes light up too and he howls and moves his arms... and Chimpy, well... while he's not technically a Halloween item he might as WELL be... he claps his cymbals, moves his head to and fro - and when you tap him on his head he shows his displeasure by sneering at you - bearing his teeth and popping out his eyes. I would also swear he chatters but by that point I'm already running out of the room.

Bumpity Bump gets a REMIX

Bumpity Bump - The REMIX

Dan took one of the OOB site's most obscure "lost" videos, swapped out the edited audio for a cleaned up, longer version of the song - - and with a little help from Artificial Intelligence, colorized segments here and there... and inserted an animated still photo of himself sitting on the edge of his bed, which is the closest anyone will ever get to being a "fly on the wall" during the song's creation...

...Having actually been there during the creation of many OOB songs I can vouch for the eerie accuracy of the simulation - it is both fascinating (and likewise horrifying, in my opinion) when you see just what AI can do. While Dan loves tinkering with AI apps I tend to run in the opposite direction - the results kind of creep me out - but I digress...

If Peter Jackson can use a bit of AI with the Beatles "Now & Then" video - I guess so can Dan, with the Out Of Bodies - so here goes NUTTIN'...
